Napa & Co. Announces 2015 Wine Class Schedule

Napa & Co. announced its 2015 Wine Class / Tasting schedule that will span the world and offer classes for the novice, the experienced wine connoisseur and those looking for a deeper understanding of various regions and blends. Prices range from $50 to $120 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and includes up to six different varieties. All classes start at 630PM.

Monday January 12th - WINE 101 - Start the year with an interesting class for the novice wine drinker and learn how to better describe wines and how to pair each with food. Enjoy 3 whites and 3 reds. $50pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday January 26th - Jordan Library Wine Tasting 2001-06 - Jordan is one of the icons of Alexander Valley producing Old World style Bordeaux blends. We will try a vertical tasting of 6 wines and see how well they age and how they’ve changed. $120pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday February 9th - Sinful Zinfandel! Many have really grown to love Zinfandel. They are not the high alcohol and over extracted wines of ten years ago. They can be soft and velvety or austere and structured. We will be sampling Rombauer, Titus, Ridge, Old Ghost, Four Vines and Robert Biale. $85pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday February 23rd - Welcome Justin King of King Estate Winery - King Estate Winery (founded in 1991) is an organic winery located southwest of Eugene, Oregon. Join us to explore the portfolio and hear the family story. $50pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday March 9th - Barolo Madness - The Nebbiolo grape is alluring, seductive and pure feminine with a masculine backbone. The wines of Barolo are meant to ponder and pair with a wonderful meal. $85pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday March 23rd - SOMM EXAM - Test you Somm skills! Back by request, this class will hone your ability to decipher Pinot Noir from Syrah, Viognier from Chardonnay. Guess the right region and grape and win a bottle!  $50pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday April 13th - Burgundy VS California: WHITE - Taste three Old World and three New World Chardonnays and explore the terroir, climate and winemakers influences on this matriarch grape. You might be surprised what team you find yourself on! $75pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday April 27th - Burgundy VS California: RED - If you love Pinot Noir then you will love this class! Explore ripe, fruit driven Pinot of the New World against the elegant, earthy and delicate style of France. $75pp (plus tax and gratuity)

Monday May 11th - A Look at Honig - Family owned, sustainably farmed and solar powered! Since 1964, Louis Honig and the Honig family have been leaders in sustainability, both in the vineyard and the winery. Join Winemaker Kristin Belair who focuses solely on Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. $75pp (plus tax and gratuity)
